Russia and South Korea sign $2.2bn arrangement to construct Egypt’s most memorable atomic plant

South Korea has gone into an understanding worth $2.25 billion (3 trillion won) with Russia’s state-possessed Rosatom to give structures and parts to Egypt’s most memorable atomic plant.

As per an assertion delivered on Thursday by South Korea’s energy service, the state-possessed Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co won the agreement and was chosen as the sole bidder for the piece of the venture at Egypt’s El-Daaba in December 2021.

The atomic plant’s reactors will be developed by Russia’s Rosatom while the South Korean firm will construct different offices with the principal unit planned for business activity in 2028.

South Korea’s President Yoon Suk Yeol invited the arrangement on his Facebook page, depicting it as a delineation of the country’s “magnificent atomic power innovation.”
